Greigii Tulips

Greigii tulips are known for their marked and mottled purple or variegated foliage and low growth habit . Although some varieties are 8-20″ tall (20.3 cm to 50.8 cm), the average is about 10″ (25.4 cm). The blooms of Greigii Tulips are very large in proportion to the rest of the plant, and can be more than 5″ (12 cm) in diameter when fully open. One cultivar boasts 9″ (22.9 cm) blooms! For horitcultural classification, these are Division 14 tulips.
